Felix Garard: Ack! *splat*
Mar 1, 2022 20:59:39 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *tickles Felix* Where were you?
Mar 1, 2022 21:05:14 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *laughs and tries to wriggle free* Making out with Jenna
Mar 2, 2022 11:19:29 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *hmmph* Must be nice, Gramps Dudley keeps breaking me and Micah up
Mar 2, 2022 12:31:17 GMT -6
Felix Garard: Why don't you find a hidden spot to make out then? I mean, there's lots of hidden places around, right?
Mar 2, 2022 12:45:02 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: We tried he keeps sniffing Micah out to show him something or talk to him. I think he's doing the same to Micah's brothers.
Mar 2, 2022 12:46:27 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *clears throat trying not to laugh* I don't know how to help you with that one.
Mar 2, 2022 19:31:09 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *Ashleigh sighed flopping back on whatever they are sitting on or whatever* Sure go ahead and laugh it up!
Mar 2, 2022 20:09:23 GMT -6
Felix Garard: What? You would be laughing at me if I was in your shoes! *flops back and throws an arm around her shoulders*
Mar 2, 2022 20:11:24 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: probably so, but I'm bored now.
Mar 2, 2022 20:21:43 GMT -6
Felix Garard: Want to go check out the horses?
Mar 2, 2022 20:22:57 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: Why not? Uncle Jay had them brought out yesterday. Hey where do you suppose dad and uncles and their cousins have been sneaking off to?
Mar 2, 2022 21:43:20 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *shrugs* I dunno. We can try to follow them too, I guess.
Mar 3, 2022 13:51:00 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *smirks* Now I like that train of thought. We can work on our sniffing techniques and follow them. Or just follow their truck tracks in the snow
Mar 3, 2022 14:13:24 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *snorts* Yeah, I would just follow the tracks. They make it too easy by doing it in the snow.
Mar 3, 2022 14:25:53 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *jumps up* Let's go then!
Mar 3, 2022 14:36:57 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *jumps up as well and grabs Ash's hand and runs towards the door*

Charles tilted his head some hearing her then as he nodded a bit hearing her. "What you say may be true, but it is just life. Human use and abuse just as much as vampires; we were human once after all." He reasoned as he smiled some at her, gently rubbing his thumb against her cheek. "They lead on normal lives after I've fed from them, and though I know not all vampires have that kind of control, it leaves them without any stressful memories. It is the most humane way to do it if one is to feed on humans." He added as he gently stroked his fingers down her neck. "I am great at control, but drinking animal blood weakens any vampire. How am I meant to withstand an attack from a vampire on human blood if I've weakened myself with animal?" He asked her gently then. "I unfortunately don't have the same instinctual ability to get myself away from dangerous situations." He added as he chuckled some, pulling her in close to him, but not pushing a kiss onto her. "I don't drink animal blood for that reason alone."

Ally nodded and said, "I know all there is to know about humans abusing other humans." She did, especially from her childhood. They were memories that she tried desperately to forget, but something just kept putting them back in her mind. "There's a reason why you should definitely stay then. I can make sure you don't have to come across anything that could harm you." She let him close the space between them and smelled the blood on his breath. That alone she felt she could withstand so she didn't push away from him. She heard the wind starting to rattle the window in the room and smirked. "I think we beat the storm, but I may end up stuck here if I don't get back home." She didn't want to leave, but she didn't want to be a burden on Charles, not when she felt like she could just stay forever with him.

"That might just wound my male ego, you know." Charles teased her lightly then after hearing her say she could protect him with her abilities. "After all, it's the male that is supposed to dominate and protect the female." He chuckled a bit as his fingers danced over her skin softly. He frowned some though as he hesitated asking her the next question after hearing her comment about abuse. "Do you remember much from your human years? The early years of being a vampire? You sound like you're familiar with abuse." He added softly as he gazed at her deeply then, wondering what horrors she might have experienced in both of her lives. It was hard to imagine her going through such hardships, and it angered him to his core to think of people hurting or taking advantage of her. What was worse was he realized that he had facilitated that through Julius' orders, which led him to wonder what she was even doing here with him. He glanced to the windows as he heard them rattling as well, before looking back slowly to Ally as he grinned playfully. "Oh, I'm sure I could find somewhere for you to sleep, Ally." He teased her lightly as he dragged her gently to straddle his lap once more, holding her tiny body against his strong one. "You're welcome here for as long as you wish to stay." He added seriously to her as he kept his forehead pressed against her own. "But unfortunately all I have to offer here is human blood whilst we wait out this storm."

Ally shook her head and said, "I wish I could remember the good things more than the bad things, but no matter how much I push out one bad memory, it floods back into my mind eventually. As for my newborn year, I remember Julius locking me in that room with no way out and a human being thrown in to me to feast upon once a week. I would hold out as long as I could before I killed them, and I remembered the horror on their faces when I finally couldn't resist anymore. My memories of childhood as a human are not ideal memories either. I remember a boy tormenting me because I wasn't completely white. He followed me home, throwing rocks at me and pushing me down. If it wasn't for the posse that attacked my home, my father would've just kept trying to fight for my rights in the town as well as my mother's." She took a moment to try to push those memories from her, but knew she wouldn't succeed and couldn't help but laugh at his offer for her to stay there. "I'm sure I can survive until we're able to get out so I can hunt myself."
Charles tilted his head some as he frowned a bit whilst listening to what she remembered about her past, shaking his head slightly then as he sighed some. "Funny isn't it? How the bad memories always over power the good, even hundreds of years down the road." He murmured as he gently stroked her hair in a soothing manner. "Your Mother was a native then?" He asked her gently as he continued to run his other hand along her back. He moved though, shifting them both gently to lay back, him on his back and her along his chest as he held her to him. "Must have been difficult growing up like that, I remember the way natives were hunted, ridiculed, abused.....I'm afraid to admit I was one of the one's that committed such acts during the War." He added as he sighed heavily then. "I can remember clearly when we took out a whole tribe of 'em, out west in this old valley. We had stumbled across them, and before I knew it orders were being yelled out to shoot." He winced some, remembering watching women and children go down with the men, but he had been a military man first and foremost, which meant following orders and not questioning them.

Ally felt unusually comfortable with Charles, not sure exactly what to make of it. She nodded and said, "Yes, Kiowa. She was the daughter of a chief and my father was a white tradesman. He mostly traded with tribes all over the land. When he came to my mother's village and saw her, he offered everything he had to marry her. The chief, my grandfather, accepted. That's one memory I hang on to the strongest. The other memory is of my own family aside from my parents." She then listened to Charles speak and nodded against his chest slowly. "You were in the War? Were you human then?"
Charles listened to her intently, stroking his fingers along her spine gently an slowly before tilting his head curiously hearing her. "You had a family of your own?" He asked softly as he pressed his lips to the top of her head. "Like a husband and children?" He elaborated as his fingers stilled momentarily on her back, starting back up once he had realized he had stopped. "I was, Major Charles J. Hale at your service ma'am." He grinned some as he watched her. "I traveled from Texas to South Carolina to join the 23rd regiment." He murmured then as his fingers continued to gently stroke along her back. "I was human for the first year of the war before I was turned, buddy of mine did it by accident."

Ally nodded and said, "Yes, a husband and a son. They were killed by horse soldiers during an attack on my village. My husband was shot and my son, as he ran for his father, was trampled by another soldier still astride his horse." She was done mourning them, knowing it was a part of life as a Kiowa. "I was only 15 when I was married and had a son and just 17 when they were killed, so I've had more than enough time to mourn." She looked at him then waiting for her own question to him. "So you were born before the War?" she asked because she was born before it as well. She was human through the entire war and was turned just three years after it ended.
Charles frowned some hearing her then as he gently rubbed his hand along her back. "I'm sorry for your loss." He whispered gently as he kissed the top of her head softly, before sighing some then hearing what she said next. "It's alright to still mourn them though, Ally. Mourning them means remembering them as well." He smiled sadly down to her, before nodding hearing her next question then. "Yep, born 1840 in Texas." He replied lightly as he smirked some at her. "Is this where you tell me that I've been making out with an older woman?" He questioned lightly as he gave her a teasing smirk, his hand trailing down to her lower back and stroking along the skin revealed there from her shirt riding up when he moved them. It was so strange to hear of her having been married with children during her human life, he had never even thought of those things when he had been human, and rarely thought about them now when he was in a contemplative mood.

Ally shook her head and said, "I'm just happy to still remember them and it's alright, I mourned for quite a long time before I let them go." Then she couldn't help but to laugh at his quip about an older woman. "Actually, I think you are safe there. I was born in the year 1850." Then she thought for a moment before saying, "What made you want to follow Julius?" She couldn't help the question come from her lips. It was an honest question and she just wanted to know that she could truly understand him.
Charles smiled some hearing her then as his fingers traced soft circles against her lower back, feeling the smooth skin there. He frowned some then hearing her question as he sighed heavily, her body rising and falling with his chest. "That's a question even I feel I might not know the answer to. Was I addicted to the idea of power? Maybe. Did I need some answers? Possibly. Was he the only stable vampire role model that I had during my impressionable years? For sure, or at least that's what I had thought at the time. Julius is.....Julius, persuasive to a fault and damn convincing when he needs to be. He's a great leader, he has the makings of a great ruler, but his ideas are so twisted that he poisons any of that." He remarked as his fingers gently trailed up under the back of her shirt to stroke along her spine, skin to skin this time. He was doing all these actions absently, like it was instinct to sooth her with his touch like he was. "How did Julius find you?" He questioned then as he frowned a bit more.

Ally nodded against Charles' shoulder where her head rested. She understood why he chose to follow Julius and she agreed with how he poisoned anything. She involuntarily sighed when he asked how she was found. "It started with my father. My father was a good man but not everyone thought that. A man hired Julius to kill my father because that man thought my father had owed him money. I am not sure if he did owe money or not, but my father protected what was his and was a hardworking man. He did nothing but provide for his family and love my mother and me. I don't know everything from his past but I do know that. Julius came and instead of killing just my father, he killed my entire village and my mother as well. He also turned me then as well."
Charles frowned some as he listened to her then, nodding a bit as he kissed the top of her head sweetly once more. "I still remember seeing you when he brought you in. You looked lost and confused, and I thought for sure that he brought you back with the intention of just killing you to begin with." He sighed some as he frowned all the more. "For your sake I wished it for you, knowing what else might be in store for you if he didn't. Obviously I was wrong about his intentions with you. He had been so obsessed with finding a mate, I remember that much, that he took you for his own despite the fact that you obviously weren't meant to be his." He spoke up then, realizing now what all the signs had been before, but he wasn't about to dive into that with her, not just yet. He didn't want to overwhelm her. "Regardless, you are safe now and that's what matters, that and the fact that you were made stronger for the hardships that you had to endure during the early years of your new life."
Post by Ally Larson on Dec 21, 2012 16:59:04 GMT -6
Ally smiled softly before saying, "I don't remember being brought in. That I am grateful for. But regardless of what he truly wanted, I wanted nothing to do with it. Besides, I've lived the way I have searching for no one and finding nothing in return except a place I can feel at home." She smirked then before saying, "And if I can get you to at least cut back on the human blood while around me, I am sure I can get you to call this place home as well. I'm sure you'll find the rewards more than you could hope for." She laughed then, trying to lighten the mood.
Charles smiled softly hearing her then as he ran his fingers along the bare skin of her spine under her shirt, stopping when he came to the clasp of her bra and moving his fingers back down her back, not wanting to overstep any unspoken boundaries. "I can try cutting back on human blood, but I doubt I'll ever be able to fully stop. You can trust me never to kill a human whilst I am here at least, I can give you that much." He promised her as he chuckled hearing her speaking of the rewards, smirking playfully as he glanced down to her. "You going to give me an example of these so called rewards?" He questioned her lightly then as he tilted his head some, waiting to see what she'd say or do, giving her control once more. It seemed like she needed to feel in control right now, and he could get that after knowing what has happened to her. Hopefully, though, he'd soon be able to convince her to let go of her control and allow him control instead.
