Felix Garard: Ack! *splat*
Mar 1, 2022 20:59:39 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *tickles Felix* Where were you?
Mar 1, 2022 21:05:14 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *laughs and tries to wriggle free* Making out with Jenna
Mar 2, 2022 11:19:29 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *hmmph* Must be nice, Gramps Dudley keeps breaking me and Micah up
Mar 2, 2022 12:31:17 GMT -6
Felix Garard: Why don't you find a hidden spot to make out then? I mean, there's lots of hidden places around, right?
Mar 2, 2022 12:45:02 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: We tried he keeps sniffing Micah out to show him something or talk to him. I think he's doing the same to Micah's brothers.
Mar 2, 2022 12:46:27 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *clears throat trying not to laugh* I don't know how to help you with that one.
Mar 2, 2022 19:31:09 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *Ashleigh sighed flopping back on whatever they are sitting on or whatever* Sure go ahead and laugh it up!
Mar 2, 2022 20:09:23 GMT -6
Felix Garard: What? You would be laughing at me if I was in your shoes! *flops back and throws an arm around her shoulders*
Mar 2, 2022 20:11:24 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: probably so, but I'm bored now.
Mar 2, 2022 20:21:43 GMT -6
Felix Garard: Want to go check out the horses?
Mar 2, 2022 20:22:57 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: Why not? Uncle Jay had them brought out yesterday. Hey where do you suppose dad and uncles and their cousins have been sneaking off to?
Mar 2, 2022 21:43:20 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *shrugs* I dunno. We can try to follow them too, I guess.
Mar 3, 2022 13:51:00 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *smirks* Now I like that train of thought. We can work on our sniffing techniques and follow them. Or just follow their truck tracks in the snow
Mar 3, 2022 14:13:24 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *snorts* Yeah, I would just follow the tracks. They make it too easy by doing it in the snow.
Mar 3, 2022 14:25:53 GMT -6
Ashleigh Garard: *jumps up* Let's go then!
Mar 3, 2022 14:36:57 GMT -6
Felix Garard: *jumps up as well and grabs Ash's hand and runs towards the door*

Chon sighed softly as he stepped out from the cave he had taken shelter in during the blizzard the day before, the scene before him tranquil now as the sun beat down through the skeleton of a tree canopy. He stretched a bit, taking in a deep breath of air; it was strange to think that such a peaceful place was filled with such monstrous creatures. He hummed a bit then as he turned back into the cave, grabbing his crossbow, figuring he'd do some hunting for food first before night fell and he searched for his other prey. He pressed the butt of his gun to his shoulder as he moved from the cave, ever observant as he moved silently through the forest, the safety of his gun off and his finger hovering over the trigger. He tilted his head some then, a strange feeling washing over him that he wasn't exactly alone in these woods, and his body tensed as he paused, waiting to hear the sounds of another traveller.

Mareike was hiding behind a tree having started out as soon as the storm was over with. She felt she was on something's trail and when she heard crunching of snow, she stopped and hid behind a tree that easily hid her petite frame. Her bow and arrow ready for when she ducked out from the tree to aim and shoot. She counted in her head to three and then quickly ducked out from behind the tree, took aim at a figure and then shot without realizing what the figure was. Hunting werewolves, you had to be quick and just shoot as soon as you lined up the shot, and that's exactly why she was trigger happy about shooting her weapons.
Chon heard the movement but it was too late, white pain coursed through his side as he felt the tip of an arrow slicing right through from his back to his front, and he could feel it bouncing off of his ribs, staying to the outside of them. "Holy motherfucker!" He shouted out both in pain and anger as he crouched on the ground now, the force of the hit having taken his balance from him. He breathed heavily, shifting to place himself safely behind a tree then, looking down at the arrow protruding from his side, recognizing the craftsmanship as he did. "Alright, who the fuck are you and why the fuck did you shoot me ya dumb bastard!" He shouted angrily out into the clearing, waiting for the guy's response as he did.

Mareike's eyes shot open after she had recovered her position behind the tree when she heard the pained and angered shouts knowing that he couldn't have been a werewolf if he reacted like that, especially with her silver arrow in him. "Oh my God! I thought you were...don't shoot! I'm coming to you!" She put her bow back around her and actually ran towards where she saw the figure, following the tracks in the snow. She slowed when she saw a few drops of blood and slowly walked sideways around the tree with her hands up in a surrender trying to show she meant no harm. "Let me help you. I was tracking someone and I mistook you for him."
"Oh, so NOW you tell ME not to fucking shoot!" Chon shouted in anger then hearing the female voice coming from behind the trees. "Fucking women, should stay in the fucking household, can't tell a fucking hunter from were or vamp. Stupid bitch." He muttered under his breath to himself, knowing she'd be unable to hear him. He glared at her as she came around the tree, but was momentarily stunned as he saw she was most definitely not what he had been picturing as a fellow hunter. Most female hunters were...sturdier and far more masculine looking than herself. But this girl, she was beautiful. He shifted, and his attraction for her left momentarily as the pain was reaffirmed in his side. "You, lady, are a literal pain in my side." He grumbled lowly as she mentioned helping him, hearing her excuse.

Mareike put her arms down and gave him a look of sarcasm before she barely bit back a retort that probably would've gotten herself shot by him. Instead she said, "You call that pain? Wait until I pull it out for you." She smirked then and suddenly grabbed the arrow and pulled it out in a swift motion, yet careful to pull it out straight. "Lucky for you, I happened to miss my mark. Normally I happen to hit an organ or three." She dropped the arrow in the snow and reached into her small bag for a clean cloth to cover the wound. "Hold that there," she ordered him and began digging back in the bag and got out an ACE wrap to wrap around his torso to hold the cloth on him and also some iodine to make sure the wound didn't get infected. She swatted his hand away as she grabbed the cloth, taking hold of the bandage wrap in her mouth as she lifted his shirt to bare his skin to squirt the iodine on the wound and then split the cloth in half to place one on the front and the other on the back. "Hold it while I wrap," she said threw clenched teeth while she still had the wrap in her mouth.
"HOLY FUCK!" Chon shouted in pain then as he fell to his side once she ripped the arrow clean from him. "That is NOT how you fucking remove an ARROW!" He cried out then as he kept his eyes clenched shut, watering from the immense pain burning at his side. He grunted, barely managing to remain coherent at this point as he pressed the cloth to his side that she had offered, letting her fix him up then, clearly unable to do so himself at the moment. He hissed when she cleaned his wound then, clenching his muscles tight in response before sighing some when she told him to hold the cloth in place once more as she wrapped his wound. "This is fucking ridiculous. What the hell were you thinking shooting me of all people?" He groaned out then as he sighed some, slowly moving to sit up so she could wrap him, leaning away from the tree he had propped himself against before as he did.

Mareike didn't bother to listen to his yelling as she bandaged him. When she finished wrapping his wound, she heard him still ranting about her shooting him. "Well, like I said, I mistook you for the one I was tracking. I didn't expect another hunter on this trail. I tend to shoot first and ask questions later. If it makes you feel any better, you're the first miss I've ever had." She stayed knelt down in front of him while she spoke and then made sure the iodine was replaced back in her bag. "And I rather reuse my arrows than to have to clip an end off of it. They don't easily break and they're not exactly the funnest things to make either." With that said, she picked up the bloodied arrow, and without cleaning it off, replaced it back in her quiver.
Chon huffed in a breath then through the pain as he tried not to laugh hearing what she said. "Some tracker you are." He muttered dryly then as he shook his head once more, knowing that if he wasn't in pain he'd be more reasonable. It was true, with werewolves and vampires both there was a need to shoot first and ask later; he'd made that mistake before himself so he had no reason to preach. He couldn't help laughing some hearing her mention him being the first miss, wincing as he did. "Ah, shit, don't make me laugh." He grunted then as he sighed some, easing back into the tree once she had banged him up. "Well I'd like to keep my skin attached to my side, thank you very much." He muttered after he comment about her arrows, sighing once more then as he looked over to her, taking her in once again and watching her gather her things. "So I see the myths of Dark Haven drew you in as well?" He asked lightly as he lifted an eyebrow at her.

Rei looked into the other hunter's eyes. They were gorgeous and drew her in. "Actually, I've been tracking a werewolf for about a month now. He's pretty good at dodging, but I'll catch him eventually. I actually haven't heard about this Dark Haven." She said before adding, "What about you?" She was interested in whatever he had to say. She normally didn't regret doing anything, but this time she regretted shooting when she did because she happened to have hurt this man pretty seriously. She meant it when she told him that he was lucky, because normally she's pretty dead on with her aim.
Chon lifted an eyebrow hearing what she said then. "So you've got a thing for this werewolf?" He asked lightly as he sighed some, before slowly moving to stand, wincing at the pull to his side as he did. Well, this was certainly going to set him back at least a few days now. "Dark Haven is a place rumoured to house all the scum of the supernatural world, werewolves, vampires, witches, hybrids, you name it they probably have it." He huffed some as he pressed his hand to his aching side. "I've been staked out in a cave not far from here." He added, nodding in the direction that it was at. "You caught me hunting for food." He smirked dryly at her then, before sighing some hearing her. "I'm a hunter like you, and I hunt werewolves like you, they are my main target at least. If anything else falls into my path though..." He trailed off, shrugging his shoulders slightly, before back to her as he frowned a bit, knowing that hunters had to stick together, regardless if one shoots the other. "Listen, why don't you come back to the cave with me? I've got some food there, canned shit but it is better than nothing, and you look like you haven't properly ate or rested in days."

Rei smirked and said, "Yeah, you can say that. I have one of my silver arrows as well as this knife for him." She pulled out her large knife from its sheath at her hip. She nodded and actually liked the sound of the town. Perhaps she could move in a house and just get intel on an entire wolf pack and just slaughter them all. Make her life more plush than it was now. She lived in tents and hunted to survive. It was true, she hadn't eaten in a couple days and it's been longer since she had actually slept, but when she had a trail, that's all that really mattered to her. "You could use rest while you heal. I suppose I can help you out since I'm the reason you're out for the time being." She moved to help him up when he moved to stand as well. "Why don't I get you back to your cave and then I'll run out and find some sort of meal for us?"
Chon lifted an impressed eyebrow at her weaponry then as he tilted his head some. "Remind me never to make you angry." He muttered then before he smirked hearing what she said next, grabbing his gun back up into his arms, shaking his head slightly. "I'm fine enough to hunt, I was following a deer trail, so hopefully we didn't scare them off too far." He replied as he nodded towards the clear tracks in the snow. "They're fresh, should be much further before we run into it." He added as he shifted a bit then, getting used to the feeling in his side. "We'll get it together, take it back to the cave and then I'll rest while you can cook." He lifted a teasing eyebrow at her then. "After all, you do owe me at least that much." He smirked a bit wider, before starting down the trail slowly, waiting to hear if she would follow him.

Rei smirked as she retorted, "You kidding me? With your whining about a little arrow hitting you, I'd be surprised if I could find even a domestic cat to kill." She looked at him still wincing a bit and figured he would be fine as long as he didn't loose too much blood. "Fine, but if you start fading, I'll actually knock your ass out to keep you still." She was small, but she could still pack a punch. She walked easily next to him and took her bow off from around her and grabbed an arrow and placed it on the bow easily while they walked and followed the trail. "My name's Rei, by the way." She remembered that she never introduced herself to him or he to her.
"Once again, not my fault you shot me." Chon retorted then as he scoffed some hearing what she said. He smirked then as he shook his head hearing her threat. "Alright, if ya say so, princess." He replied easily as he smirked even more in amusement, shaking his head at the audacity of this woman. He actually quite liked it, the whole independently strong thing was very refreshing. He moved along the tracks then, noting how the tracks spread wider apart after a while. "This must have been where the thing was spooked." He murmured lowly, turning to follow the tracks then up a hill. "I'm Chon, would've been nicer to meet you without the arrow in my side, Rei." He chuckled lowly then as he smiled some back to her, before gently halting her with him as he motioned to crouch behind the boulder. "Think you might have better aim this time?" He asked her lightly, nodding over the bolder where the deer was now rooting around for some grass under the snow.
